The Geospatial World Forum 2024 took place at the Postillion Hotel & Convention Center WTC Rotterdam, The Netherlands, from May 13th to 16th, 2024. The Geospatial world forum served as a collaborative platform showcasing the unified vision of the global geospatial community. It brought together professionals and leaders from various sectors, including public policies, mapping agencies, private enterprises, organizations, institutions, and government bodies, to exchange ideas and insights annually. This year, AISPECO’s CEO, Mantas Vaskela, also participated in the event.

Plenary Session

Mantas was one of the panelists at the event in plenary session 11: “Bridging Generations: Engaging Gen-Z in Geospatial Practice – Insights from Millennials.” The plenary aimed to explore strategies for attracting Gen-Zs to engage in geospatial practice, offering valuable perspectives from Millennials, Geospatial World Rising Stars 2024, who had already made significant strides in this field. By examining the experiences, challenges, and innovative approaches of Millennials, this session sought to provide actionable insights and recommendations for effectively engaging the next generation in geospatial work.
